Live Stock Market Updates - Sensex, Nifty open on a subdued note, Aurobindo Pharma gains by 3%


Equity tips:-


  • Nifty and Sensex open on a flat note following the trends of US Markets. Weakness is seen is several sectors on account of profit booking. Pharma sector goes strong with Aurobindo Pharma gaining over 3%.
  • At 9:28 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 33,617, up by 16 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,437 down by 3 points.
  • The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.71% at 16,765.32 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up by 0.35% at 17,759.39.
  • Aurobindo Pharma, Sun Pharma, Lupin, Cipla, and TCS are among the gainers, whereas Tech Mahindra, NTPC, Tata Motors, SBI Bank, and Hero Moto Corp are losing steam on NSE.
  • Some buying seen in Healthcare, Telecom, Utilities, and Consumer Durables sectors, whereas FMCG, Industrials, Auto, Banks, Capital Goods, Metal, Power, and Reality sectors shows weakness on the BSE.
  • The India Vix is up by 0.74% at 12.22.
  • Out of 1,948 stocks traded on the NSE, 907 advanced, 581 declined, and 460 remained unchanged today.
  • A total of 30 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 3 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
  • Bharti Airtel to transfer optical fibre business to Telesonic Networks for an overall consideration of not more than Rs 5,650 crore
  • Government approved sale of entire 73 percent stake in Dredging Corporation.
  • NBCC bagged reconstruction order worth Rs 400 crore.
  • Tata Teleservices says NTT Docomo tendered its entire stake of 21.63 percent to Tata Sons.
  • Asian Granito entered into a joint venture with Paramshree Granitic Pvt Ltd for setting up a green field facility for Quartz stone.
  • TVS Motor’s October sales rose 3 percent year-on-year.
  • Shree Cements won a coal linkage auction for Chhattisgarh captive plant.
  • Solar Industries bagged order worth Rs 1,143.63 crore from Coal India for supply of bulk explosives.
