Bharti Airtel to divest Infratel’s 32% shares in Nettle

Equity tips:- Bharti Airtel in its filing to the exchanges informed that its board has approved divestment of up to 59.12cr equity shares, representing 32% stake of Bharti Infratel, owned by the company, to its arm Nettle Infrastructure Investments. "The transfer to Nettle shall be in accordance with all the applicable statutes, rules, and regulations," the company said in a press note after markets hours to the exchanges on Thursday. The divestment is subject to shareholders’ approval. Post divestment, shareholdings of Bharti Airtel, Nettle Infrastructure Investments Limited, and Public/other shareholders will be 18.33%, 35.18%, and 46.49%, respectively in Infratel. Bharti Airtel Ltd's share price ended at Rs316.15, down by Rs6.1 or 1.89%, from its previous close of Rs322.25 on the BSE. Asian stock markets slip after Fed meet

Equity tips:- Asian stock markets declined on Thursday after the Federal Reserve raised rates, as expected, and kept most of its guidance for additional hikes next year, dashing investor hopes for a more dovish policy outlook. As markets had expected, the central bank took the target range for its benchmark funds rate from 2.25% to 2.5%. The move marked the fourth increase this year and the ninth since it began normalizing rates in December 2015. It came despite President Donald Trump's tweets against rate hikes. On Monday, he said "it is incredible" that "the Fed is even considering yet another interest rate hike. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index fell as much as 0.7%, the Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.41%, while the Kospi Index lost as much 0.77%. Vedanta rose 3.5% on the NSE after the NGT order allowing the reopening of its Tuticorin plant. The Sensex rose 256 points to 36,219, while the Nifty jumped 63 points to 10,868. Today’s losses were seen in Infosys, TCS, ITC and Yes Bank. On the sectoral front, IT, metal, FMCG, realty, auto, financial services, pharma and PSU banks are seeing selling pressure. At 9:59 AM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 35,312, up 66 points, while the Nifty50 index was trading at 10,742, up 26 points. Shares of Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular fell after Reliance Jio launched post-paid plan with monthly rental of Rs199, and an ISD calling service at a starting price of 50 paise per minute. Sensex jumps over 250 points; PNB tanks further

Equity tips:- Equity indices made a positive start to the session, mirroring the trend in global markets, and led by gains in shares of metal, financial services and information technology companies.   At 10:05 AM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 34,397, up 251 points, while the Nifty50 was ruling at 10,576, up 75 points.   In the broader market, the BSE Midcap and the BSE Smallcap indices rose 0.70% and 0.49%, respectively.   However, weakness in banking stocks, especially those of public sector banks, due to the Rs11,400cr fraud at Punjab National Bank, kept the overall gains limited.   Shares of PNB fell over 5% and dragged the Nifty PSU Bank index 0.3% lower. Equity tips:- Domestic indices started the session on a positive note on Monday, with shares of Tata Steel leading the charge.   At 10:31 AM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 34,217, up 211 points, while the Nifty50 index was trading at 10,515, up 60 points.   Shares of State Bank of India, which fell over 2.5%, were the worst hit on the Nifty50 after the bank reported a standalone net loss of Rs2,416.4cr for the quarter against a profit of Rs2,610cr reported in the corresponding quarter last year. There was GNPA divergence and NNPA divergence of Rs23,239cr and Rs17,518cr, respectively during the quarter. BEL approves buy-back of 2.04cr equity shares at Rs182.50 per share

Equity tips:- The board of directors of Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), in their meeting held on January 30, 2018, approved the proposal to buy-back the equity shares of the company. The buy-back would be of ~2.04cr equity shares (representing 0.83% of total equity shares) at a price of Rs182.50 per share (~7% premium to the last closing price) payable in cash.   The buy-back size amounts to Rs372.26cr, representing 5% of the aggregate of the fully paid-up equity share capital and free reserves of the company.    The promoter of the company also intends to participate in the proposed buyback. The buyback is subject to approval from the shareholders and all other applicable statutes.
