Nifty hovers around 10,350 mark; ONGC stock rises 1.5%

Equity tips:- Benchmark indices opened lower today, tracking weakness in most Asian markets and on caution ahead of the release of Jul-Sep GDP data  later this week.   Losses in indices were, however, limited as S&P Global Ratings retained India's sovereign rating at BBB-, with a stable outlook, a week after Moody's Investors Service upgraded India's rating.   At 9:51 AM, BSE Sensex down 85 points to 33,594 and the NSE Nifty50 Index slipped 31 points to 10,358.   The BSE Mid-cap Index and BSE Small-cap Index are trading marginally higher  at 16,935 and 18,053 respectively.   ONGC, UPL, Vedanta, Hindalco and Tech Mahindra gained the most on Nifty50, while HPCL, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports and Sun Pharma were the top losers.   Meanwhile, the Indian rupee opened at 64.71 per dollar against Friday's close of 64.70.   Some buying was seen in media and realty sectors, while PSU bank, FMCG, IT and metal sectors showed weakness on the NSE.   I

Sensex, Nifty rally; IT, Auto Index gain

Equity tips:- Indian equity benchmarks continued to trade steady, holding on to its opening gains, while the Nifty continued to hold 10,350. IndusInd Bank, Infosys, Infratel, Bajaj Finance and Tech Mahindra were the top gainers, while Zee Entertainment, HUL, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Adani Ports lost the most in the Nifty50 index. On the political front, Winter Session of Parliament will be held from December 15 to January 5. At 11 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 33,680, up 92 points, while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 10,383, up 35 points. The S&P BSE Midcap and the S&P BSE Smallcap indices hit their respective new high on the BSE on Friday, following an extending rally in infrastructure, auto and public sector banks. Equity tips:- Indian shares opened marginally higher on Thursday, however the gains were erased to trade flat led by losses in HDFC, ITC and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Nevertheless, losses were capped, as Airtel, Infosys and Sun Pharma  witnessed buying interest. As of 9:54 AM, Sensex was down by 12 points at 33,575 and the Nifty traded 13 points higher at 10,355. The BSE Mid-cap and BSE Small-cap Index are trading marginally lower at 16,788 and 17,932 respectively . Among the Nifty50 Index, Bharti Infratel was the top gainer, up 2%, followed by Eicher Motors, Sun Pharma, IndusInd Bank and UPL, which gained between 1-0.9% each. Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Lupin and Hero MotoCorp were the other major gainers, whereas Dr.Reddy’s, Asian Paints, Kotak Mahindra and UltraTech were the losers in the Nifty50 Index. Indian equities to open higher backed by strong global cues
