Live Stock Market Updates - Nifty hovers around 10,350; Bharti Airtel dips by 3%


Equity tips:-

  •  Nifty and Sensex take cues from the positive US markets to begin trade on a positive note. However, the Telecom sector dampens the growth, with Bharti Airtel slumping by nearly 3%. Pharma Sector gains strong foothold with positive Q2 earnings from several companies, Cipla gains by 4%.  
  • At 9:28 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 33,463, up by 92 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,380, up by 30 points.  
  • The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.48% at 16,569.18 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up by 0.37% at 17,688.90  
  • Cipla, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, Tech Mahindra, and Infratel are among the gainers, whereas Bharti Airtel, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Reliance, Indian Oil, and SBI Bank are losing steam on NSE.  
  • Some buying seen in IT, Healthcare, and Teck sectors, whereas Energy, Telecom, and Oil & Gas sectors show weakness on the BSE.  
  • The India Vix is up by 1% at 13.37.  
  • Out of 1,946 stocks traded on the NSE, 986 advanced, 493 declined, and 467 remained unchanged today.  
  • A total of 27 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 6 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
  • Bharti Airtel stock drops over 3% after 2.19 Cr shares change hands in a block deal. 
  • Lupin stock up 1% on short covering as company said it would try to resolve warning letter early.
  • Cipla stock surged 4% post better-than-expected earnings.
  • Ujjivan stock rallies over 5% after 1.03 Cr shares or 7.7% equity change hands in multiple blocks on the NSE.
  • Sun Pharmaceutical’s subsidiary Taro Pharma reported a strong performance during the previous quarter. Stock rises 2%.
  • Axis Bank board to meet on Nov. 10 to consider raising funds. Stock up 4%.
  • Adlabs to sell Novotel Imagica Khopoli Hotel for Rs 213 Cr to Bright Star. Stock spurts 3%.
  • F&O Ban; In ban: DHFL, HDIL, Indiabulls Real Estate, India Cement, Infibeam, JSW Energy, RCom, Wockhardt; New in ban: India Cement.
  • Results Today: Arvind Ltd, United Breweries, Ashok Leyland, Mahanagar Gas, Bharat Forge, Petronet LNG, Pidilite Ind, Rain industries, CESC, Chennai Petro, Balkrishna Ind, GSFC, Shree Cement, Voltas, OBC, Muthoot Fin.
