Quarterly results that are expected today include State Bank of India, Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Titan Company, Monsanto India, BSE Limited, Berger Paints.


Here is the street expectation for the companies:


  • Dr.Reddy’s Lab’s revenue in Q3FY19 is expected to remain flat yoy and qoq in absence of any big product launch in the US. The company launched generics of Aggrenox ($182mn), Renvela suspension ($101mn), and Hygroton ($122mn) towards the end of the quarter; however, there was no big product launch during the quarter.
  • EBITDA is expected to decline 0.4% yoy and 7.2% qoq to Rs802cr. EBITDA margins are expected to be at 20.8% vs. 21.2% in Q3FY18 and 22.8% in Q2FY19.
  • PAT is expected to grow 19.2% yoy to Rs399cr.
  • Investors should watch company’s commentary on the gSuboxone litigation as well as on gCopaxone and gNuvaring. Regulatory update on Duvvada and Srikakulum manufacturing plants should also be watched.

SBI Consensus expectations for Q3FY19E:
  • Net interest income – Rs23,900cr, up by 16% yoy and 3% qoq
  • Pre-provision profit – Rs15,820cr, up by 23% yoy and up by 15% qoq
  • Net profit – Rs2,940cr, NA yoy and NA qoq

Axis Bank slumps over 6% post quarterly earning

Equity tips:- Shares of Axis Bank have slumped by over 6% in opening trades after announcing quarterly earning post market hours on Tuesday.  The stock opened at Rs 488 hit an intraday high of Rs 489 and an intraday low of Rs 482. Total traded volumes were approx 0.35mn shares. The quarterly results missed street estimates as NII for the quarter was 4.5% below street estimates of Rs.4741 crore. Also, net profit for the quarter was almost 66% down from street estimates of Rs.1298 crore. NII for the quarter remained flat at Rs.4539 crore vs Rs.4513 crore in previous year corresponding quarter. This was largely due to muted interest income growth to Rs.11235 crore vs Rs.11159 crore in Q2FY18. Asset quality of the bank deteriorated further as GNPA’s for the quarter rose by almost 67% yoy to Rs 27402 crore. Asian stocks trade mixed; Nikkei 225 up ~1%

Equity tips:- The S&P 500 Index climbed to a four-month high as it held above the key 2,800 level. Asian stock markets were trading mixed on Thursday as investors awaited a slew of economic data from China.
